Brad Sadler (b. 1980) is a Kansas-based abstract painter working primarily in oil. His work explores the tension between structure and spontaneity through layered, gestural compositions that evolve through accumulation, revision, and disruption.

Sadler’s paintings combine expressive mark-making with symbolic and semi-figurative elements, forming a personal visual language built from looping lines, fragmented forms, and recurring numeric motifs. These elements suggest underlying systems within compositions that remain fluid and open-ended.

Largely self-taught, Sadler began his artistic training in high school and continued through early college studies before developing his practice independently. He maintains a daily studio practice, working from his home studio in Kansas.

Earlier in his career, Sadler exhibited landscape-based work, including a solo exhibition, Fly-Over Country, at the Cider Gallery in Lawrence, Kansas. His work has also been included in group exhibitions such as The Modern Landscape at RedLine Milwaukee in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Kansas Through the Eyes of an Artist at the Carriage Factory Art Gallery in Newton, Kansas. He has sold work consistently over the past decade and received an Honorable Mention Award in the 2017 State of the Arts exhibition at the R.G. Endres Gallery in Prairie Village, Kansas. His current work represents a focused shift toward process-driven abstraction.
